Dr Claire McQuillan

Dr McQuillan graduated from Queen’s University, Belfast in 2009.

After working for a few years in Ireland she emigrated to Perth where she predominately worked in Emergency medicine in both adult and paediatric medicine.

She commenced General Practice training in 2016 and has become a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2017.

She has also completed the Diploma of Child Health from The University of Westmead and has attained a certificate in Sexual Health and Family Planning. She works part time and is particularly interested in child health, adolescent medicine and women’s health.

Dr Rowena Koek


Dr Koek is graduate from the University of Western Australia. Dr Koek worked in central Perth before starting here at Shenton GP, where she has now been now for over ten years. Dr Koek is interested in mental health, women’s health and gender diversity. 

Dr Alana Dawson


Dr Helen Wilcox


Helen grew up in Perth and attended UWA.

She completed her GP Fellowship in 2006 and enjoys a wide variety of general practice with special interests in children, women’s health, cancer, palliative care and doctors’ health.

Her other role is as the director of the MD Program at UWA, and she is an active researcher in general practice, medical education and trauma-informed care.

She enjoys marathon running, and running after her three primary school aged children.

Dr Shoba Krishnan


Dr Krishnan was born in the Pilbara and grew up on the west coast of Tasmania. She finished high school in Western Australia and studied medicine at the University of Western Australia. Dr Krishnan trained in General Practice in Kalgoorlie, Pinjarra and Perth. She has been working in General Practice since 2003.

Dr Nicholas McLernon


Dr Nick McLernon is a graduate from the University of WA and trained at Royal Perth, Swan Districts, Osborne Park and Kalgoorlie Hospitals, and Next Step Drug and Alcohol Services. Nick enjoys all aspects of general practice and family medicine.

In addition, Nick holds a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a Graduate Diploma of Public Health.

Nick is a regular host of medical students from UWA.
